Lots to love in the latest batch of new tunes. Chicano Batman was a personal discover on one of the very first KaneTrax and Bella is the highlight of their new album for me. Jake Xerxes Fussell showcases deep vocals and a tradition folk sound done superbly with Oh Captain. Don’t Ask how the tune became so catchy, but John Craigie is doing something right. And from a groovy pop sound out of the Rose City Band to a couple of nice instrumentals from Speedometer and Zachary Cale, there is something here for everyone.
