Here’s March’s playlist… wait, April Fools! Darnit, I’m late for that too… anyways, enjoy these new tunes nonetheless.

Lucius released an incredibly beautiful album of accoustic songs, including a ton of covers. Their take on Tame Impala’s Eventually is simply stunning. Enjoy!
In My View is off the latest album from Young Fathers, a Scottish trio that meshes a style of hip-hop with worldly influences for a truly unique sound. The beats are fun and I can’t help help but enjoy the crap out of this one.
The next tune is a dreamy, melodic song that takes a bit of a turn towards low-key romantic funk. Secret Language was released by The Shivers last year as a single, but it leaves me hoping there’s more to come in 2018.
Yes, Bahamas is a country in the Caribbean, but it’s also the stage name of the Canadian singer who penned the tune Way With Words, and yes, the is exactly the kind of song I’d enjoy listening to while relaxing on the beach in the Bahamas.
It’s hard to put to words how excited I am for the Leon Bridges’ full album to come out later this spring, but for now I just have a couple of singles to keep my ears buzzing. Bet Ain’t Worth the Hand is a great tune and if it’s any sign of what’s to come, I have high hopes for “Good Things” in its entirety.
Just a couple months back I featured Hiss Golden Messenger on KaneTrax, and this collaboration with Spacebomb warranted a quick return. On the first listen, Passing Clouds impressed me a ton. It stats so softly but the energy picks up and I love the fun, funky feeling.
Though they’re most well known for accompanying celeb Steve Martin, the Steep Canyon Rangers are a talented bluegrass outfit in their own right. I’d definitely dilly-dally in the Shenandoah Valley after listening to this track!
Lucy Dacus is another young indie rocker who is making a big splash at such a young age. Her sophomore album, Historian, has a ton of depth and Timefighter exemplifies her rich vocals and rootys style.
Jonathan Wilson is sort of the embodiment of the easy going, California driving rock sound. Rare Birds is a great album top to bottom, and I hear influence from countless groups I love, particularly in Over the Midnight.
That’s a wrap! Here’s hoping you won’t have to wait so long for the May edition of KaneTrax as I get back to my headphones.
